Abortion Support - Unwanted Teen Pregnancy
Parenthood: a Full Time Job
Parents shoulder monumental responsibilities. If you choose to become a parent, your child will demand your love, attention, time, energy and money for 18 years at the minimum. The work involved in raising a child is comparable to accepting another full time job on top of the full time job (or jobs) you may already have. If you decide to have a child, your ability to travel or pursue your hobbies will be greatly impaired, unless you have an extended family who is willing to help you out.
Decades of Responsibility
Another aspect of modern parental duties involves preparing your child for college. College education is rapidly becoming a requirement for anyone seeking entry into the middle class. If you wish to help your child obtain a better life, you will have to help him or her develop the intelligence needed to excel in school. Additionally, you will most likely need to offer some form of support throughout your child's college career. These types of responsibilities are serious and worth considering if you are unsure about whether or not you really want to have a baby.
Unwanted Children Commit Crime
Whether or not abortion is murder is a topic that is often debated by politicians and religious leaders, but hard science shows us that unwanted children commit real murders. Multiple studies have shown that after abortion is legalized, crime rates plunge. The reason for that is that mothers who do not want children often do not or cannot take care of them very well. Even though they may have good intentions, young people are often not capable of dealing with the pressures and responsibilities of parenthood. Impressionable children are affected by unhappy parents and suffer because they often do not enjoy the same level of early education compared to their peers. Children from parents who cannot take care of them are far more likely to become delinquents, or become involved in drug abuse and crime.
Abortion and World Population
Hard numbers also show us that world resources are finite and population is increasing at an unsustainable, exponential rate. Consider the fact that in 1960 the world population was 3 billion souls. Today (less than 50 years later) there are 6 billion people in the world. According to a report from the United Nations, by 2050 the world population may reach 10 billion. At some point, the world's resources will become scarce and nations will inevitably go to war for control over food and water. If you have any doubt about that, view this video of Walmart shoppers trampling each other to obtain Christmas presents. If more women around the world would choose abortion, the population would begin to level off and a worldwide crisis could be averted. Also, the world crime rate would begin to fall.
